Basil plants were distributed on Saturday at the Valmiki Temple in Narpala, the center of the region, under the auspices of Yogi Mukteshwari, founder of the Sri Sri Sri Paramapita Sri Venkataramanacharya Guruvu Charitable Trust. Former Market Yard Chairman and YCP leader Narpala Satyanarayana was the chief guest at the event. On this occasion, Sri Sri Sri Pradbathan Sri Yogimukteshwari Mataji , the founder of the trust, said that on the occasion of the 9th Worship Festival of Sri Sri Sri Paramapita Sri Venkataramanacharya Guruvu Charitable Trust, basil plants are distributed on the same day every year. The tulsi plant is said to be very unique and is said to be the Mahalakshmi tulsi plant that brings all the good fortune, ayurveda and prosperity. Basil is said to work as an ayurvedic medicine for all ailments. Satyanarayana Reddy also said that the basil plant is very sacred, cures diseases and can be obtained by worshiping basil for peace of mind.
